Digital & Analog Collage, 12"x12", $300Sylvia Rivera was a trans activist who advocated for many disenfranchised groups. She fought injustice within and without the burgeoning civil rights movement. She participated in the 25th Anniversary Stonewall March, remarking later, “the movement had put me on the shelf, but they took me down and dusted me off... Still, it was beautiful. I walked down 58th Street and the young ones were calling from the sidewalk, 'Sylvia, Sylvia, thank you, we know what you did.'” 

This artwork's dramatic motion lines are formed with fractal shapes. The artist used numerals from Sylvia's birthdate (July 02, 1951) and the Stonewall Uprising date (July 29, 1969) to form the shape.
