My brain has a fun, little quirk. My brain's Operating System is... different. I see sound. Synesthesia is a condition characterized by the brain routing sensory information through different senses. My condition is mild. Great books, storytelling and even music can set it off. (Claude Debussy always activates my neurons.)

I see subtle, kaleidoscopic patterns throughout my visual field. Frequent colors include flamingo pink and cyan. I attempt to recreate what I experience for my neurologically typical viewer. (No need to thank me -- I do it as a favor for "the straights.")
