Marsha P. ("Pay No Mind") Johnson was seemingly everywhere, taking care of seemingly everyone. Her social justice activism spanned multiple areas of civil rights: fair housing, quality gender-affirming healthcare and abolition work. She was called "Saint Marsha" around Greenwich Village for her work during the AIDS/HIV crisis.

Often called "The Rosa Parks" of the gay rights movement, Johnson played a big role in creating and fighting for her community.

This artwork is a spiritual portrait of Marsha. It is a fractal formed with Marsha's biographical details as variables in an equation. The artist saw the fractal as representative of Marsha's colorful hats, which she frequently accessorized with flowers.
