Invoking the words of one Western Civilization's first great female poets, let us begin with the themes of fear and loss...

This visual art series also began with fear and outrage. On Valentine's Day, 2025, the U.S. administration deleted vanguard activists' names from a national park service website originally designed to celebrate their contributions.

This piece contemplates the nature of erasure, deletion and obliteration. The columns of 10-point text reveals itself to be a list of keyword terms that the federal government used to de-fund programs, projects, studies and grants. (If you were a person with a medical condition with any of the terms on this list, valuable research that might have gone forward to treat you has now been stopped.)

The central pink, white, rose and teal flower shape is a fractal created with numerals from the beginning of the project (February 14, 2025) and the date of the Stonewall Uprising (July 28, 1969).

The bold "S" curve shape is meant to convey the shape and texture of an eraser's journey over an old-fashioned chalkboard. The lines extend upward and outward, away from the central digital image, into the analog art (not pictured on website).
